About Me

In an effort to escape the cold winters of New Jersey, where I was born and raised, I pursued my college degree at The University of Tampa, in Florida. I earned my bachelors degree in business marketing, but it wasn’t until a couple of years after college when my interests were piqued as I discovered what a Registered Dietitian was.

Through my teens and young adult life, I secretly struggled with an eating disorder and pursued my masters in nutrition as a way to learn how to eat “perfectly” in hopes of finding freedom from my struggles with food. After a long 5 years of graduate school and completing my dietetic internship in New York City at Columbia University, I became a dietitian in 2013. But my relationship to food was anything but “perfect”.

It wasn’t until I found the strength and courage to pursue recovery that I finally knew what it meant to be free from my ED. Through my self work, I began to understand how the idea of “eating perfectly” and what I believed “health” to look like was contributing to my issues with food and body image. Empowered by my own journey, I wanted to help others heal their relationship to food and find freedom just like I had.

I am incredibly passionate about sharing the benefits of Intuitive Eating and helping people of all genders, sizes, and ages find a life free from diet culture. I have helped clients who are in the early stages of their disorders to those who have struggled for a lifetime, hopeful for change in their sixties or seventies. I believe it is never too late to do this work.

I eventually found my way back to a warmer climate moving from New York City to Santa Monica, California where I live with my husband, our 2 year old son and our rescue dog, Kai. When I’m not helping my clients find food freedom, I am usually spending time with my family, cooking delicious meals, and spending as much time outside as possible!
